PsychoAds is a one man show born from the love for advertising. For the time being you will see here some book reviews and advertising related articles. As the website will grow, more and more interesting goodies will appear.
Research has shown that reading from a computer screen is 25% slower than reading from paper. Also, almost 80% of users scan the page instead of reading word-for-word. The blog posts are written in a way that allows users to get the big picture even if they decide just to scan the content.
The double-click dictionary helps you find definitions or wikipedia articles of words that are unclear to you. For example, let’s try to find some info on the word advergaming. Double-click or select the word. A small menu will appear. If you select wikipedia, a pop-up will appear with the wikipedia article. If you select a dictionary, a pop-up with the word definition will appear(fingers crossed). Because there are no perfect dictionaries(Merriam Webster never heard of advergaming but The Free Dictionary has) you have more than one dictionary to choose from.
You can also use Google Translate to translate words or part of the text(just select the text). The default value is German but you can change it to whatever you want.
It would be great if you could take the time to rate the posts and answer the polls that will be posted from time to time.
